Arrive Already Loved™: Developing a Positive Relationship With Yourself
With Mark Putnam, MD and Dori Middleman, MD
January 12 - 17, 2020
This workshop presents and uses methods developed by Mariah Gladis, longtime beloved Esalen faculty, for developing a positive, loving relationship with yourself. This relationship with self is critically important during deep personal challenges and is the heart of your personal well-being and aliveness, the bedrock upon which all your other relationships rest.
To Arrive Already Loved means having an inner life that is a comfortable, loving, compassionate and enjoyable place to be, a home to which you can always turn for solace, support and unconditional acceptance.
With a unique style of individual and group Gestalt work and an innovative use of music, you will have an opportunity to work intensively on your most important issues. This safe and supportive environment will allow you to:
- Reassess your relationship with yourself through imagery, dyads and letter-writing
- Understand thinking as a conversation with yourself as we discuss the concept of relationship with self
- Reconnect to your own body wisdom through movement
- Develop an active and rich inner dialogue through participating in and witnessing hot seat work
- Identify action steps toward healthier ways of being and living
- Expand your capacity for receptivity to love and all good things
