Before Registering for Commuter Housing:

Please review the Commuter Housing Policies and Protocols available on the Wiki [insert Wiki link and update doco title]. All Commuters are expected to:

Bring their own linens and toiletries.
Maintain cleanliness in the Commuter Housing space and common areas, including a thorough cleaning prior to departing the space, taking out the trash, and returning any used Esalen linens.
Report to the Gate each morning to complete the COVID-19 questionnaire and temp check.
Pick up room keys at the Gate and return room keys no later that 10:00a.m.

Important

Due to the limited availability of Commuter Housing:

Commuters with operational on-site staff roles receive priority for Commuter Housing.
Remote staff are limited to Commuter stays between Monday (arrival) and Thursday (departure) unless approved by Gardo Pastora (edgardo.pastora@esalen.org).

Commuter Housing
Commuter Housing is available to full- and part-time Esalen staff who commute to work on property. Due to the limited availability of Commuter Housing spaces, Commuters with operational on-site roles are prioritized for Commuter Housing. Remote staff are limited to Commuter stays between Monday (arriving) and Thursday (departing) unless approved by Gardo Pastora (edgardo.pastora@esalen.org). Room Access:

Your room key will be available for pickup at the Gate.

You may check into your room as early as 2:00 p.m..

Please remember to review the Commuter Housing Expectations (see below) before your arrival.

Commuter Housing Expectations
Pre-Arrival and During Your Stay

REMINDER: Please bring your own linens (sheets, pillows, blanket/sleeping bag, and towels) and toiletries.

Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the Commuter Housing space, including any common spaces.

Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside all Commuter Housing spaces.

During your stay, first thing upon leaving your room each day you must go to the Gate to complete the daily temp check and COVID-19 questionnaire.

If you are assigned to a Soper House space, please remove your shoes at the entryway to avoid staining the white carpet.

Departure Prior to departing your Commuter Housing space, please be sure to address the following:

Clean all surfaces in the space, including the bathroom and any common spaces. Clean rags and H2Orange multi-surface disinfectant spray will be available in the room or can be procured from Cabins.

Take out the trash and ensure no food items are left behind.

Remove any Esalen linens and dirty rags from the room and bring them to Cabins. Dirty linens and rags should be placed in the corresponding bins outside the Cabins door.

Turn off all electricity (lights, etc) and heater.

Do not leave any belongings behind when you vacate the room.

Keys must be returned to the Gate upon departure of the room (no later than 10:00 a.m.).
