Digital Detox: Unplug and Reimagine Your Life
With Adam Smiley Poswolsky, Brooke Dean and Allie Stark
February 22 - 24, 2019
Sixty-one percent of people admit to being addicted to the internet and their devices, and heavy internet users are two-and-a-half times more likely to be depressed. Join us for a device-free and rejuvenating Digital Detox retreat, hosted by leaders of Camp Grounded: Summer Camp for Adults and Digital Detox. Since 2012, Digital Detox has helped more than 3,000 people find balance and joy in the digital age. In this tech-free wellness retreat, attendees will give up their smartphones and gadgets in exchange for an off-the-grid experience of personal growth, reflection, mindfulness, creativity, community, and (dis)connection. Together, we’ll remember the power of in-person connection, examine what it means to unplug, and practice staying balanced through a series of hands-on sessions including meditation, creative writing, arts and crafts, play and games, and heart-centered self-exploration. Digital Detox can help reduce anxiety, stress, depression, tech dependency, fatigue, and information overload. Other results can include an increase in creativity and efficiency, enhanced teamwork, gratitude, personal growth, and even deeper and better sleep.
