Esalen Volunteer Pass - Farm & Garden

Please read the following information before beginning your registration to join the Esalen Volunteer community for a shift in the Farm & Garden Department.

NOTE: All volunteers must be 18 years or older.

When
Tuesdays
9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Volunteers may schedule their shift up to 14 days in advance.

What To Expect
Connect with and feel at one with the land Esalen sits on. Help sow the seeds, harvest crops and nourish the grounds that feed the Esalen community. No gardening experience is required. Please wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty; wearing layers is encouraged due to the changes in weather and temperature during the shift hours.

What's Included
Before and after your shift, you are welcome to enjoy the whole Esalen campus. This includes meals, our daily class offerings by our Teachers in Residence, and the opportunity to bask in the Esalen hot springs, while building connection with yourself and others. Volunteers are welcome to arrive as early as 8:45 a.m. and stay on campus until 8:00 p.m.

Important FAQs
  • Volunteers must adhere to all COVID-19 Guidelines upon arrival to campus and during their shift and time on campus.
  • Volunteers may arrive as early as 8:45 a.m. and stay on campus until 8:00 p.m.
  • Volunteer shifts are not eligible for overnight accommodations.
