Faculty Survey

Faculty Survey | Staff Education

Open Dates

At Esalen, we seek to bolster and sustain our educational ecosystem which encompasses teachers, guests, and staff alike. As we craft more in-house curriculum to support staff on their personal and professional journeys, we hope to enlist your collaboration.

While most of our 100+ staff live and work on campus, ~20% are fully remote and ~20% are commuters. We have experimented with many formats and topics to engage our faculty with all staff for individual growth, leadership development, and teamwork. Formats have included afternoon and evening classes, lunch information sessions, and hybrid (online/in person) events.

Thank you for completing this survey to indicate your interest in collaboration to provide staff education events. Our Staff Education team will connect with you directly after receiving your input.

Faculty Survey

What would you like to offer? Please check all that apply and/or add your own.
There is a long-standing tradition at Esalen in which faculty have occasionally offered a limited number of staff spaces at a discounted tuition rate of 50% or 100% (half tuition or staff free). Typically, this has been a max of two staff scholarship spaces.
A special workshop experience would be an event held during the workshop that the workshop faculty may deem would be appropriate/welcome and not disruptive to invite participation from staff who are not in the workshop group. Examples would be events such as morning meditation, sound bath, dance party, etc.
A staff only event would be a stand alone experience while you are on campus and would take place outside of the workshop sessions or on a day prior to or after your workshop. Please note that the latter option would be dependent upon availability to accommodate an extension to your stay on campus.
Leadership sessions would be scheduled at a time to facilitate participation by the entire team of on-property Supervisors and Managers.
Online Sessions would primarily be intended for Esalen's remote and hybrid staff.
If you offer fee-based online resources, would you be interested in offering free or discounted access to Esalen staff?
