To fully be in touch with the essence of who we are, and vibrantly live from there, we must embark on a journey to take us from outside distraction to our innermost world. We must travel like a pilgrim, with one pointed focus. There, we expand our awareness to melt into the embrace of silence, stillness, and wisdom. And in that embrace, the bondage of confusion and suffering loses its grip and we are graced by pristine perception, presence, and peace. This is the path to self-mastery.

This journey requires ongoing personal practice, rigor, devotion, surrender, and reflection. Together, we have this rare opportunity to devote seven days to contemplative practices supported by the amazing land, resources, and community at Esalen. Jovinna has curated a syllabus that pulls from rich spiritual traditions to strengthen your body, mind, and spirit and awaken your innate intelligence.

During the week, we will:

  • Practice daily yoga, meditation, contemplation, and reflection.
  • Learn Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra Chapter 2.
  • Anchor six breath practices.
  • Rekindle an intimate relationship with nature.
  • Enjoy meditation-in-motion dance to free our hearts and souls.
  • Experience sound healing to nurture and support the subtle energy body.

The rhythm of the week is slow and steady. The essence of the program is soft yet mighty. Together, we will train the mind to be awake and alert and regain sovereignty of our attention. Return home with a deeper sense of self and purpose. This program is a training ground to build a solid foundation for our continued self-mastery.

Note: Jovinna invites you to detox from or minimize the use of all electronics during your time here. Some yoga experience is recommended. Please bring a journal.

This workshop includes an additional $110 faculty tuition.
