Pelvic Liberation Weekend for Women
With Leslie Howard
May 24 - 26, 2019
Did you know that every pelvis has a story? Come learn what your pelvis has to say. In many ways, the pelvis is the root of all things. The strength, stability, and suppleness of the pelvic floor help create the strongest foundation of each movement in the body. This workshop for women weaves together anatomy, lecture, and discussion, followed by subtle experiential movements to awaken your understanding of this often-ignored area. We will have time to experiment and play with a series of specific exercises and asanas for the pelvic floor, and you’ll be shown important breathing practices and mudras (ancient ritual gestures and postures). By exploring the deep and subtle connections throughout our anatomies, we can feel how the pelvic floor is the nexus to the mouth, tongue, jaw, legs, feet, and breath. If sex is painful or you have pelvic, hip, or knee pain, or if you experience incontinence or a prolapsed organ, this workshop is for you. Come learn your anatomy from the inside out, and how to help yourself and others have a radiant root. Laughter and tears are welcome. Bring your friends, sisters, mothers, and daughters. Although helpful, no yoga experience is required. Please bring a notebook and lubricant.
This workshop is for women only.
