Stoking the Energetic Fire: Yoga for the Inner Glow
With Ulrika Engman
September 10 - 12, 2021
There is an art to sequencing yoga with movement that can unlock healing energy flows and positive chemistry in our bodies. Making movement and yoga practices more personal, as unique as our fingerprints, by listening to our sensory experience is an important part of that process. Join Ulrika Engman, founder of Yoga Journeys for this weekend workshop, and discover and develop several personal magic movement blends by turning the yoga practice into a love potion for body and soul. Your body will thank you for it!
In following Ulrika’s methods for drawing yoga and energy practice together, you will:
- Have the opportunity to deeply experience this unique blend of yoga practices, sequences, and movement rituals, all intended to peel away layers of restriction and allow the emergence of greater ease and freedom in living in the here and now.
- Explore spatial awareness, range of motion, breathwork, floor work, safe twists, backbends and inversions, and use them to build the framework for understanding healthy boundaries that create a liberating and refreshed comfort zone within the self.
- Create a seven-minute signature glow practice each day to take home for daily use to nourish the vital energy source within.
The elements of nature – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space – are the source of inspiration and guidance in the articulation of my movement and yoga practice. I use playful exploration of balance, gravity and momentum to connect the weight of the body with the lightness of breath and the forces of the elements. The intention is using movement and yoga as one of nature’s medicines and an uplifting healing art.
Open to all that enjoy yoga and movement. May be taken as a continuation of Yoga for the Here and Now.
