Through the powerful combination of yoga and Zen we can taste the possibility of an all-inclusive, global awareness. On the mat we practice embodiment from our toes to the crown of our head. In every fiber, cell, and sinew of our bodies we animate the force of nature known as prana. On the seat of ease and joy, the Zen meditation cushion, we come closer to realizing our intrinsic essential nature. The raw, natural beauty of Esalen further enhances our deepening into these ancient practices. Henry and Tias guide from their respective traditions while exploring connections between the two. This retreat provides a valuable opportunity for students of all levels to simultaneously deepen their meditation practice while refining and expanding their yoga. The clear and powerful teachings of yoga and Zen work to clarify and deepen our experience of each moment. Practice sessions will be an expression of our one body and mind, bringing a sense of unity and joy. This event includes yoga and SATYA guided by Tias, and meditation and dharma teachings from Henry, as well as walking meditation and poetry. Please bring a yoga mat.
