Yoga & Myth: Falling in Love with Existence at the Edge of the World
With Hannah Muse
November 6 - 10, 2023
For centuries, humans have looked to myths to make meaning of our lives. Stories of the deities can bring fresh perspectives to our own unique Hero’s journey, ease us through transitions, and act as maps to greater clarity. We’ll combine the power of these ancient tales with yoga and other experiential practices to help us tap into creativity and joy while awakening our spirits to possibility.
This workshop offers a unique and playful opportunity to commune with the deeper aspects of self through movement, inquiry, and storytelling. Our focus this weekend will be on the deities and lore that promise new beginnings and grace.
Together we’ll explore:
- Asana (yoga for all levels)
- Guided meditation and Pranayama (gentle breathwork)
- Self-inquiry and journaling
- Mantra and song
- Fireside ritual and nature play
- Storytelling and archetypal awareness
This nourishing schedule of experiential practices will be balanced harmoniously with relaxing meals, community connection, and soaks in Esalen’s healing baths. Music, nature, poetry, relational play, and ritual will all be woven together artfully. Renewal awaits!
